What MySpawn is, and what it deliberately is not.
MySpawn is a service that allows you to store your DNA, personal data, and digital memories for long-term preservation. The goal is to create a structured record of your identity that may be available for future use if laws and technology allow.
Secure storage of your DNA sample, storage of your personal data and memories, and maintenance of your profile and preferences over time. Your plan price covers the collection kit plus your first storage term: one year on Starter, three years on Legacy. After that term, storage renews at the same price, $99 a year on Starter and $199 every three years on Legacy, until you cancel. This is a preservation service, not an execution service.
No. MySpawn does not currently create a descendant or perform any biological procedures. The service is focused on storage and preservation. Any future possibility would depend entirely on legal approval and scientific feasibility at that time.
No. We do not guarantee that your stored DNA or data will be used to create a descendant. Our role today is to securely preserve everything so that it may be available if and when such developments become possible.
What happens to the physical material once you post it.
Your DNA sample is received, logged, and stored in a controlled environment for long-term preservation. Access is restricted and monitored at all times.
For the storage term included in your plan, one year on Starter and three years on Legacy, counted from the date your sample is received. After that, storage renews at the same price unless you cancel. To cancel, email myspawn@myspawnapp.com before your renewal date and storage stops at the end of your paid term.
You do. You retain full ownership of your DNA sample and all uploaded data. MySpawn does not claim ownership over your identity or biological material.
Who can reach your material, and how you take it back.
No. Your data and DNA are not shared with third parties. No access is granted without your explicit consent.
We use secure infrastructure to store digital data and controlled environments for biological samples. Access is restricted and monitored.
Yes. You can update or delete your data at any time. Requests related to DNA samples can also be submitted through support.
Where the law stands, and what happens if we do not.
Storing personal data and biological samples is permitted in many regions. However, the future use of such material depends on the laws in place at that time. MySpawn operates within applicable regulations.
We are building MySpawn with long-term storage in mind, including backup systems. In the event of a shutdown, users will be provided with options regarding their data.
